Welcome to the Town of Sharon Recreation Department
Sharon is a very active community of not only children but adults as well. Sharon is a great place to live and a wonderful place to visit. Located beside the scenic White River, and nestled into the valley of the surrounding rolling mountains, this town offers many scenic sights and refreshing water holes. The local geography features the ridge tops and steep valleys along the White River tributary brooks, and close to two thousand acres of prime wildlife habitat in conservation set-asides and State Forest. The White River attracts anglers from across New England and offers opportunities for a refreshing summer run through the current or a dip in one of the quiet river pools. The town is an easy commute to western New Hampshire or central Vermont, and is conveniently accessed via Exit 2 on Interstate 89 and State Routes 14 or 132.
The Recreation Department of Sharon is starting its new beginning, and we hope to provide consistent recreational activities throughout the whole year. With a very active youth population, we currently offer soccer, basketball and baseball, but hope to add more youth sports in the future. In addition to our active youth, we also are in the works of establishing an adult athletics league, which will eventually offer soccer, basketball, and baseball as well!
Even though our population is very involved in spots, we also have a long list of clubs. You name it, we got it!.
